First week of January if you have read my previous posts, Cagayan de Oro has been hit by heavy rains and bad weather that may have caused over spilling of water to major rivers in the city which then caused terrible flash floods to vast area of CDO (80% of the population were affected by the way). CDO Bloggers to which I am a part organized by Chiq Montes launched a campaign that aimed to help the unfortunate victims of the Flash Flood. The $3 donation appeal to our fellow bloggers were posted on different blogs, plurk, twitter, etc. And in just 48 hours Chiq successfully gathered P10, 910.00! Wow! that was fast! a BIG THANK YOU, to everyone who helped with the project!

Saturday (January 16, 2009) together with some members of the cdobloggers, we went on spending the cash! LoL! not for ourselves but for the goods we will be donating to ABS-CBN. We went to makro to buy all the goods that we need and then dropped it all to ABS.WE also bought medicines since we saw in the news that many evacuees are getting sick especially the children. It was another important milestone for the cdobloggers since it was organized. To everyone who supported, to all those who showed concern and prayed for the people of Cagayan de Oro, please accept our heartfelt gratitude. Some may have doubt our intentions and opted not to help, These pictures will show the genuine objective of the people behind the project and that is to help. Our donation may be small but to the recepient of all these, it’s something. Chiq will be posting the breakdown (auditing) on her site.
